You see this girl is the reason for this website and we call her her The Princess Liberty and here's why:
If you got here by reading through the historic stories you know that this 1915 event was all about and for the children of Denver and that maybe over a hundred thousand get up 5am on a Saturday in July to turn out to see and touch this bell and make a message. You see there are times when the young are wise, and so they make a message that day for you today: what counts for you is cast in bronze. You see that all the Public Groups pitch in to make this possible and this newspaper devote more than usual coverage of these moments and that, for all of that, this girl is the only child individually pictured and so she speak for all of them:
"Attend here, please."
We write this at the advent of the 75th
anniversary of Peal Harbor and if any of you wonder WHY?, please remember that these children age 5-10 in 1915 were 30-35 in 1940 and so those of that generation were the ones of can-do who turned out to live and fight and win that war.
Maybe that girl was Rosie the Riveter, or maybe she was an Army Nurse at the side of Annie G. Fox at Hickham Field Hospital on 7dec41. As we honor those veterans and citizens who lived and fought and won that war during this Diamond Anniversary maybe you remember that girl and her message their message and where begins the path of liberty.
In her day this girl's message, their message, in this daily paper last about three days, you know. Maybe someones save it a while and so eventually the attic but really her message, their message is lost to the NOW until just now here she comes again for another chance to speak for them to you today and to the future.

You see this title of Princess Liberty is applied here to one who speaks for many on this matter.
We now have a privilege here to introduce to you another Princess Liberty who hails to you from another land; from Annecy where Your New Liberty Bell was cast, on the day of their liberation in 1944 in Salute to America for our help there.
We now have a privilege here to introduce to you another Princess Liberty who hails to you from another land; from Annecy where Your New Liberty Bell was cast, on the day of their liberation in 1944 in Salute to America for our help there.
You see in this picture she was placed or she place herself in the front row to deliver that salute and that photographer captured that moment.
Then you see in this higher view she is still in front, and there beyond you see the entire city of Annecy has filled that square to join in her salute.
This is the calling-card comes with your New Liberty Bell now 65 years anon and with it too comes a song you can hear in its ring of a windy day on a high mountain plateau
where commence the path to liberty.
where commence the path to liberty.
