Colorado's Annecy Bell at Lincoln Park, Denver
We first encounter an Annecy Bell at Olympia at a stop on a bike tour and remembered from there "1950" and "France" so when we find this later at Denver we ask why all these American symbol sent to American States not made in America but commissioned in France and we find out that one reason is Paccard is renown bell master, but also this place they are called Annecy is place of Cardinal significance in path of liberty. I read where employees of Paccard Founderie hike way up to this Plateau to harvest Oak for the lintels of these Bells in commemoration of the fallen in a battle that had happened there where about 400 Resistance fighters stand off an Armored Division of 15,000. This is called the "Battle of Glieres Plateau" and we begin that story in the photo essay:
